His dedication and hard work laid the foundation for what would become a multi-generational family business. As time progressed, Lathan's three sons, Greg, Jamie, and Jeremy, joined the ranks, transforming ERS into a true family endeavor.

In 2018, recognizing the importance of continuity, the Erwin family officially established Erwin Resource Service III LLC.
